Easter Fanfare & Hymn Descant

A fanfare/processional and hymn descant for Easter Sunday written for 3-octave handbells (21 bells)

Easter Fanfare & Hymn Descant

This set (part of the Four Pieces for Easter collection) includes a festive acclamation or processional and a descant for the common Easter hymn, "Christ the Lord is Risen Today."

The fanfare, written in the key of C major, is designed to lead right into the hymn introduction, though it can also be used on its own. The descant works well on one of the middle verses (leaving the option for the sopranos to sing a descant on the last verse).
